Mooncakes are Chinese pastry traditionally eaten during Mid-Autumn Festival, which falls on the 15th day of the 8th Lunar month of the Chinese Calendar. As years passed with more competition in the business, the sellers are paying more attention to the creativity of the packaging instead of the mooncakes itself. Nowadays, people not only buying the mooncakes for themselves, but more and more people are buying mooncakes (with nice packaging) for their relatives, friends and business associates as a gift.
